About Julian Armstrong, M.D.
Why did you choose to specialize in Gastroenterology?
To me, the specialty is the perfect mixture of medicine and surgery, bringing the best of both aisles creating an attractive and intellectual endeavor.
Do you have a specialty of interest within GI?
I am very protective of my IBD patients. These group of patients need the caring eye of the gastroenterologist both in diagnosis, therapy and surveillance.
Where did you study?
I did my undergraduate degree at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, majoring in chemistry and my medical degree at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University in the Bronx, NY.
What certifications do you hold?
Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
What do you and your family enjoy doing in your spare time?
My wife, Tina, and I love to travel, good wine and spending time with our son and daughters. I personally love playing my guitar and attending the Fort Worth Symphony which, in my opinion, is one of the best in this country.
Do you have any special honors or recognition in your medical career that you would like to share?
I was the chief of gastroenterology during my stint at Landstuhl Army Regional Medical Center, as well as the consultant inc gastroenterology to the commanding general of the 7th Medical Command, Europe.
