Why did you choose to specialize in Gastroenterology?

As a branch of internal medicine, it allows me to use my knowledge as a trained internist as it applies to care of digestive system problems. The ability to see directly with the endoscope and treat certain problems through the instrument is very interesting.

Do you have a specialty of interest within GI?

Inflammatory bowel disease, gastrointestinal bleeding and preventative procedures.

Where did you study?

University of Texas Southwestern, University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio and University of New Mexico.

What certifications do you hold?

Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.

What do you and your family enjoy doing in your spare time?

I enjoy fly fishing, photography, golf, cycling and gardening.
