Why did you choose to specialize in Gastroenterology?
I love the myriad of disease processes that Gastroenterology has to offer. It is a perfect combination of seeing patients & performing procedures.
Do you have a specialty of interest within GI?
My passion is liver disease. It’s pretty amazing to see the advances in antiviral therapy & be a part of an amazing future.

Medical School: Texas A&M University Health Science Center College of Medicine, Internal Medicine Residency: Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas, Hepatology Fellowship: Baylor University Medical Center, Gastroenterology Fellowship: University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.

What do you and your family enjoy doing in your spare time?
I simply enjoy spending my spare time with my spouse of 16 years and my two boys, ages 4 and 6 who keep us plenty busy. My husband is an avid traveler & I’m proud to say we have seen all seven continents thus far.

I met Dr. Yalamanchili for the first time the morning of my procedure. She visited with me in the pre-op waiting room to greet me, explain the procedure and potential risks, and list the best outcome and next steps. Prior to her visiting with me that morning, I can hear the other patients’ doctors briefly explaining the process to them and then leave their room. I was impressed with Dr. Yalamanchili professionalism and comprehensive details. After she left the room, I was left with a warm feeling knowing I made the best call when researching gastroenterologists. The procedure was flawless. Her staff is also amazing, and followed up before and after the procedure.

Loved the doctor and the preop nurse. I was pleasantly surprised and appreciate the doctor's call to work with me around my 12 hr schedule and the prep.

Dr. Yalamanchili has been great! She takes care to answer any questions or concerns, and stays on top of everything regarding my condition. This includes informing me of her consultations with other doctors involved in my care. On the personal side, she has an excellent bedside manner and sense of humor. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her!
