"I saw about 3 other doctors before i finally found Dr Schmidt. I had been having alot of severe issues and was very very ill for a long time and the others doctors i saw previously just didn't seem too concerned and gave me the run around. I finally found Dr Schmidt and he was able to immediately tell me what was wrong with me, gave me a diagnosis, and immediately started treatment. Not to mention he is also extremely understanding and listens and really cares for his patients. So thankful for him and this office!"

"Well it took me 8 weeks to get an appt with a case of constantly having anything I drank or ate run through me. I liked Dr. Schmidt’s bedside manner and left the appt with a list of things for him to do and me to do. I was asked to schedule a colonoscopy while I was there and did so for 9 days later. Even though my primary care Dr had done a stool culture he suspected I has something I did not agree with. I was fasting when I went and asked him if he wanted another stool culture that all I had to do was go eat a sandwich and he’d have one right after. He declined. My appt was scheduled first thing in the morning and at 11:20 the day before I received a call I had to do another stool culture before he could do the colonoscopy. I appreciate the thoroughness but not the inconvenience of being physically and mentally ready. The food list he gave me is working aa well as eating small amounts. I will have to go off that to get a culture of what I had been experiencing before and try to coordinate when my ride can take off work again."

"Highly recommend Dr. Schmidt and his team; we moved here from Kansas City in October of 2021. I had an EGD and a Colonoscopy in September of 2021 and was advised to abstain from all NSAIDS for 12 months and get re-scoped in Texas. Found a GI doctor as soon as we moved here and advised of the prior physician's recommendation with the notes from the prior physician and when September of 2022 came around, I was advised it's not necessary to re-scope. I've had several other GI issues since then and have been repeatedly told scoping is not necessary. Went to my PCP due to large amount of weight loss and fatigue and was advised he'd call one of his GI colleagues whom he knows personally. I got in for an appointment the following week, Dr. Schmidt was patient, kind, thorough and didn't write me off as not knowing anything. I have a scope with him tomorrow (not even a month after my appointment) and I'm sure he'll impress me with that as well. Highly recommend this office."

My procedure was done 3 days after my initial consultation, very fast. Due to scarring caused by Cancer Radiation and Chemo treatment, I had great difficulty in swallowing. "The whole staff from the receptionist to the anesthesiologist . They make you feel very comfortable. My colonoscopy took a total of 2hrs from when I walked in to when I left. If they're a little behind schedule it's only because the Dr's and nurses are covering all bases and keeping you informed of the process. Dr.Schmidt answered all my questions that I needed answered. I highly recommend Dr Schmidt."

I have never felt more valued as a patient. During my most recent appointment, I asked why he was so persistent about my receiving a treatment that I did not want.
