Why did you choose to specialize in Gastroenterology?
Gastroenterology is one of those few areas in medicine where time honored, bedside patient-physician interactions in clinical medicine interact seamlessly and successfully with modern technology (like endoscopy). This method improves the diagnosis and management of ailments affecting the gastrointestinal tract.
Do you have a specialty of interest within GI?
Gastroesophageal reflux disease, Barrett’s esophagus, colorectal cancer screening, endoscopic dilation and enteral stents, and the evaluation and treatment of liver diseases.

Medical Training: India at Government Medical College and University of Kashmir, Internal Medicine Residency: University of Missouri School of Medicine,

I did my own research on finding this doctor when I was referred out to see a GI specialist. I had my first appointment last week and I must say Dr. Ahmed was very nice and informative! The office staff was nice and punctual. Although I had to arrive a hour prior, I was in and out in a hour max! My procedure is on the 20th and I’m kind of scared. However, I feel confident with Dr.Ahmed
