I have been a patient of Dr. Altug at Bay Area Gastroenterology for many years. She Is an excellent doctor and I am confident with her decisions of my care. However, for over a year now, I only see a nurse or maybe a student doctor. I am not sure but she seems quite compitent so I am not concerened. Just seems odd that I no longer see Dr. Altug.

This place runs like a well oiled and clean machine. I went in to have Dr Altug take a look-see down my esophagus to my stomach. This procedure necessitates being put into lala land. After awakening, I had no discomfort whatsoever. I didn’t feel as though anything had been down my throat. Beautiful, just beautiful. I wish every procedure could end like this one did.

Dr Altug has provided excellent care of me for nearly 20 years. During my most recent visit I met with Jessica, Dr Altug’s nurse practitioner. She spent a lot of time with me thoroughly explaining throat issues I have that I finally understand how best to proceed with my ENT physician.
