Why did you choose to specialize in Gastroenterology?
It was a perfect balance between medicine and surgery and I have enjoyed it ever since my very first rotation. I cannot see myself do anything else.
Do you have a specialty of interest within GI?
Hepatology and clinical nutrition.
Where did you study?
Medical School: St Johns National Academy of Health Sciences, Internal Medicine Residency: New York Presbyterian Queens and Weil Cornell Medical College of Cornell, Nutrition Fellowship: Cleveland Clinic, Transplant Hepatology Fellowship: Albert Einstein Medical Center, Gastroenterology Fellowship: University of Florida.
What certifications do you hold?
Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
What do you and your family enjoy doing in your spare time?
Traveling and watching movies.

Residential Poster Award (American College of Gastroenterology) and honors in Pharmacology.

Even though sometimes it’s really hard to get in to see the doctor, they have a care program where you can talk with a nurse every month. The care at this clinic is great, and Dr. John is very knowledgeable and provides thorough care.
I am happy to say , I have been seeing Dr. Biko for a couple of years and he is a wonderful doctor . And the staff is very nice and friendly.

Doctor John is a very busy doctor. During my visit he came into office room where I was waiting to see him. He didn't sit down and go over blood work, but instead asked the nursing assistant how the blood work looked. 😒 He seemed to be in a hurry and didn't have much time to talk.
Doctor John knows me really well. He has been my gastro doctor for a number of years. He's a very candid and direct doctor. I'm not sure 😕... 🤔 whether or not he wants me to continue being his patient 🤔.

I had an appointment to schedule a procedure and checking in was quick . I was early for appt. And I was asked if I was ok with a N.P. I said yes and she explained
the procedure and what to expect. Looks like they take care of everyone rather well.

Very professional , staff was awesome , knew i was in good hands the second i walked in the door . Was my second procedure with Dr. John . Would recommend him highly .

All Staff from reception to nurses, preparing, anesthetists, doctors assistants, Doctor and recovery make you feel well taked care and feel comfortable and understanding of the procedure
