Why did you choose to specialize in Gastroenterology?

I chose to pursue a career in gastroenterology because it offers a unique opportunity to care for patients with a wide range of needs and disease complexities. I enjoy the intellectual and clinical diversity the field presents, from managing chronic conditions to addressing acute gastrointestinal issues. Gastroenterology also provides a rewarding balance between clinical practice and procedural work, allowing me to stay engaged in multiple aspects of patient care. Most importantly, I value the ability to establish and maintain long-term relationships with my patients, supporting them through different stages of their health journey and contributing to meaningful, lasting outcomes.
