About Charles McDaniel, D.O.
Why did you choose to specialize in Gastroenterology?
I originally chose gastroenterology after having a great mentor spark my interest in the material. I have slowly found more and more enjoyment in the field because of the balance of forming relationships with patients and seeing their progress, along with the balance of getting to work with my hands and performing procedures routinely.
Do you have any specialty of interest within GI?
I enjoy all aspects of Gastroenterology, though, during my training, I had more specific interests in hepatology, Barrett's esophagus, Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and liver disease.
What Can Patients Expect?
Open-mindedness and respect for all different patient's perspectives and preferences with a focus on education revolving around the diagnostic and disease processes and their treatment options
What do you and your family enjoy doing in your spare time?
Outside of caring for patients, I enjoy hiking, traveling, cinema, and basketball.
What certifications do you hold?
I am board-certified in Internal Medicine.
