Why did you choose to specialize in Gastroenterology?
I chose to specialize in GI because I find it to be a dynamic field with a very broad spectrum of disease entities. The continuous developments in treatment options to help our patients are exciting.
Do you have a specialty of interest within GI?
I have a special interest in small bowel diseases and GI oncology.
Where did you study?
I graduated from Rawalpindi Medical College, in Pakistan for medical school and completed residency at the University of Connecticut. I went on to complete my fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Iowa.
What certifications do you hold?
I am board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
What do you and your family enjoy doing in your spare time?
I enjoy traveling, music and playing golf.
Do you have any special honors or recognition in your medical career that you would like to share?
I graduated in the top 10% of my class.
Do you fluently speak any other languages in addition to English?
I am fluent in Urdu and Hindi.

Dr Siddiqui is wonderful. I’ve seen him many times. His office staff also. He just performed an endo/colonoscopy on me and all went well except for the anesthesiologist! She must have missed the course on bedside manners! She was the only person who was not kind and caring!

Amazing experience with such a sensitive procedure such as a colonoscopy. I could not recommend the team here more as they were the best from start to finish! Literally every person I interacted with from front desk to nurses to the main doctor were so polite, helpful and just nice!!! This place really has it together and I would gladly come back here when I need to, in 10 years for another colonoscopy:). I do strongly recommend them to anyone needing this or any other procedure done.
