About Kimberly Persley, M.D.
Why did you choose to specialize in Gastroenterology?
I have always had an interest in science. I had the opportunity to rotate with amazing gastroenterologists at Parkland Hospital and Dallas VA Medical Center as a medical student. I knew this was the right specialty for me.
Do you have a specialty of interest within GI?
Inflammatory Bowel Disease and obesity.
Where did you study?
University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and Mount Sinai Medical School.
What certifications do you hold?
Board Certified in Gastroenterology. I am a Fellow of the American Gastroenterology Association.
What do you and your family enjoy doing in your spare time?
Travel.

Good experience and timely communication The intake/appointment process needs some help.
Great gut doctor, recommended by another specialist I see. Spends time with me, listens to my concerns - especially important to me since I am limited on the pharmaceuticals I can take. Dr Persley is respectful of my feelings/concerns and in what I have to say. I highly recommend her to others when the opportunity arises.
Dr. Persley was very informative and helpful in understanding what is going on with my health. She was patient and not in a rush to get through my appointment. Asks good questions and listens.
