Why did you choose to specialize in Gastroenterology?
The field of gastroenterology provides me with the opportunity to diagnose and treat a broad scope of conditions. I truly enjoy helping others and appreciate the privilege to be in a profession where I can participate in the personal care of my patients.
Do you have a specialty of interest within GI?
I have a particular interest in inflammatory bowel disease and liver-related conditions.

I enjoy spending time with my wife and our families. I also enjoy playing soccer, hiking, traveling and outdoor activities.

The staff is amazing!
Very friendly and medical knowledgeable excellent.
At the time of my first visit I was pretty desperate, during my visit Dr Malakouti took his time to listen, never rushed me. I feel so much better now and I have him to thank for all his care, words and recommendations. Highly, highly recommend him.
OMG I felt like I was treated like a king. If it wasn’t for the fact I couldn't eat prior to my exam Id do it weekly. At least every time I wanted to lose 10 pounds. From the pre check in call to follow up call everyone was awesome. They explained everything prior to doing anything and made me feel comfortable and confident I was in good hands. I appreciated the way I was treated. Im sure you would be too.
Dr. Malakouti and his staff took fabulous care of me during my recent procedures at the Southlake facility. He is a kind and proficient Gastroentologist. His staff took great, compassionate care of me.
