About Reema Lamba, M.D.
Why did you choose to specialize in Gastroenterology?
I love the procedural aspect of GI. I was an engineering major in college and have always enjoyed things that are more “hands-on.” I also like that it has a nice balance of both inpatient and outpatient work.
Do you have a specialty of interest within GI?
I really enjoyed working with inflammatory bowel disease patients while in fellowship and hope to carry that over while I am in practice.
Where did you study?
Undergrad: Duke University, Medical School: University of IL, Internal Medicine Residency: Medical College of Wisconsin, GI Fellowship: Baylor University Medical Center.
What certifications do you hold?
Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
What do you and your family enjoy doing in your spare time?
I love traveling and try to leave the country and explore somewhere new any chance I get. I am also a big Chicago sports fan and am always up for watching a good football or baseball game.
Do you fluently speak any other languages in addition to English?
Hindi and Spanish.
Please list your professional affiliations.
American Gastroenterological Association, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, American College of Gastroenterology and Texas Society of Gastroenterology and Endoscopy.

This is my third time have a colonoscopy at this place. They people there are very nice, thorough and have the best customer service. I was in and out of there within a couple of hours.
Dr. Lamba and staff are amazing. This was my first appointment and they genuinely cared and answered all of my questions. Thank you!
Recent colonoscopy went very smoothly and Dr. Lamba was pleasant to work with and no post-op issues.
